SEO & Google Business Profile

Nobody can promise you page one. We can show you the work.

Local search is mostly unglamorous. A profile that's complete and accurate. Reviews that get asked for and answered. A page for each service, in each suburb you actually serve. We do that, every month, in the open. No rankings promised. Every change logged, dated, and yours to read.

Who it's for

Local businesses, in one or two suburbs

Clinics, trades, studios

"People search my suburb and find someone else."

You serve a patch, not the country. The three businesses in the map pack get most of the calls, and getting there is about the profile and the reviews, not a blog.

Burned by an SEO retainer

"I paid for a year and got a spreadsheet."

A monthly ranking report for phrases nobody types, and no record of anything actually changed. This time you see the change log, and the report is about calls, not positions.

New, moved, or renamed

"Google still thinks we're at the old address."

A duplicate listing, a profile set up by a previous owner, the wrong category. Month one is cleanup and verification, in your Google account, so it can't happen again.

What we do each month

What $450 a month actually buys

Six things, done every month, each of them visible in the change log. Nothing here is a secret technique. It's the work most retainers describe and few do.

Google Business Profile

Set up right, then kept current

Month one: primary and secondary categories, services, hours, service area, description, photos, duplicates removed, ownership verified in your Google account. Every month after: a post, new photos, questions answered, holiday hours updated before the holiday.

Reviews

Asked for properly, answered by a person

A review link and a two-line script your front desk can actually use. Reviews answered within the week, in plain words, by us (up to 20 a month; more is quoted). Especially the bad ones; the reply is read by more people than the review.

Pages

one new page a month, only where there is something real to say about that service or area (no near-duplicate suburb pages)

About what you actually do, for people who live where you actually work. The title, the heading and the URL name the service and the suburb. You read it and approve it before it goes live. Written for the person, not the crawler.

Technical

The fixes nobody sees

Page titles, broken links, redirects, the sitemap, indexing errors in Search Console, pages flagged in Core Web Vitals. Fixed where they're fixable, logged and dated. If the site is too slow to fix, we say so and quote the rebuild instead of pretending.

Tracking

Calls and directions, counted

Calls, direction requests and website clicks from the profile's own stats. Organic sessions and form sends in GA4. Call tracking where the volume justifies it, so you know which list rang the phone. How we wire tracking.

Reporting

One page a month, in English

What we did, what moved, what didn't, and what's next. Calls from the profile and form sends from the site, month against month. Not a forty-tab ranking export. What the report looks like.

Anatomy of a local result

Two lists, two different jobs.

When someone in your suburb searches for what you do, Google shows two things. The map pack, which comes from your Google Business Profile. And the web results underneath, which come from your website. They're ranked by different things, so the monthly work covers both. A call can come from either.

  • The map pack is driven by your primary category, your reviews (how many, how recent, whether you reply), how complete the profile is, and how close the searcher is. We can't move your building. We can fix the rest.
  • The web results are driven by having a page for that service in that suburb, with a title that says so, on a site that loads quickly, with a few honest links pointing at it.
  • Tracking tells you which of the two rang the phone. Without it you're guessing about what to keep paying for.
  • The ad at the top is a different service with a different price. If ads would get you calls faster while this builds, we'll say so. Google Ads management.

Illustrative. Names, ratings and counts are made up. The pack and the web results are ranked by different things, which is why the monthly work covers the profile and the site.
What takes time

Months, not weeks.

Anyone who says otherwise is selling something. Here's what usually happens and roughly when, so you can hold us to it. Your suburb, your competition and your site's starting point all move these.

Month 1

Profile fixed, tracking on

Categories, hours, services, photos, duplicates gone, ownership verified in your account. Search Console and GA4 connected. Review link and script handed over. First service page written and approved by you.

Months 2–3

Google catches up

Reviews start to accumulate and get answered. The profile's own stats, calls and direction requests, are usually the first thing to move. New pages get indexed. Nothing dramatic yet, and we say so.

Months 4–6

Pages settle, patterns show

Service and suburb pages start appearing for the specific searches they were written for. By now we can say what's working and what isn't. If nothing has moved, the report says that, and why.

Month 6 onwards

Your call

Keep going, drop to less, or stop. It's month to month. Everything built stays on your site and your profile, because they were always yours.

The rules

What we refuse to do

Most of what gives SEO a bad name is on the left. Google penalises all of it eventually, and the business wearing the penalty is yours, not the agency's.

What we won't do
Buy, fake or reward reviews.Google removes them and can suspend the profile. It's also lying to the people who'd trust you.
Promise a position.Nobody controls Google's results. Anyone who guarantees page one is guessing with your money and hoping you don't check.
Keyword-stuff the profile or the pages."Plumber Auckland Plumbing Plumbers Ltd" as a business name gets the profile suspended. It also reads like spam, because it is.
Report rankings for phrases nobody types.Number one for "best affordable quality physio near me north shore" is not a result. It's a screenshot.
What we will do
Ask for reviews the allowed way, and answer every one.A link, a script, and a reply within the week, written by a person who read the review.
Show you the change log.Every edit to the profile, every page published, every technical fix. Dated, with who did it.
Report what rang the phone.Calls and direction requests from the profile, form sends from organic. Positions only where they explain a change in those.
Tell you when it's not worth it.If you're already in the pack for your suburb and there are three competitors, we'll say reduce or stop. Month to month means you can.
Price

$450 a month. Setup included.

SEO & Google Business Profile
$450/ month · incl. GST

Month to month. Profile setup or cleanup is part of month one, not an extra line on the invoice. Stop whenever you like; everything we've built stays on your site and your profile, because they were in your name from the start.

Start the work
Included, every month
  • Profile setup or cleanup, verified in your account
  • Posts, photos and questions answered
  • Review process, and every review replied to
  • One service or suburb page, approved by you
  • Technical fixes, logged and dated
  • Search Console, GA4 and profile call tracking
  • One-page report, in plain English
  • Change log you can read any time

If you want more than one page a month, it's $250 a page, quoted first. If the site is too slow to rank until it's rebuilt, we'll say so and quote a rebuild in writing. If ads would get you calls faster while this builds, we'll say that too: Google Ads management is a separate price, and the two can run together.

Questions

Things people ask first

Can you guarantee page one?+

No. Nobody can, and anyone who says they can is either guessing or reporting on a phrase nobody searches for. Google's results change with location, device, time of day and hundreds of things neither of us control. What we guarantee is the work: what we did, dated, in a change log you can read, and a report on calls rather than positions.

How long until it does anything?+

Months, not weeks. Profile fixes can show in the profile's own stats within a few weeks. New pages take two to four months to settle. Reviews compound slowly. By month three we can tell you whether it's moving, and by month six whether it's worth continuing at this level. We'll say either way.

How much of this is automated?+

The data pulls are: Search Console, GA4 and the profile's stats come into the report through software, and rank checks run on a schedule. Review reminders can be automated out of your booking system, and we'll set that up if you have one, because a person doing it by hand adds nothing. Replies to reviews, posts, the monthly page, the technical fixes and the report itself are written by a person. If any of that becomes something a tool does well, we'll tell you and price each part honestly.

Do I have to keep paying forever?+

No. It's month to month with no notice period. Some people run it for six months to get the profile and the core pages right, then stop and come back if something changes. The profile and the pages stay; they were always in your name.

Who writes the pages?+

A person, about your actual service, usually after a ten-minute conversation with you about how you'd explain it to a patient or customer. You read and approve every page before it goes live. If a tool drafts a first version, the change log says so, and it's rewritten by hand before you see it.

What do you need from me?+

Manager access to your Google Business Profile, not ownership: you stay the owner and add us under Business Profile settings → People and access. Admin access to the website. A folder of real photos. And about fifteen minutes a month to approve a page and tell us what the phone actually did.
