You'll know what we changed, when, and whether a person did it.
$600 a month, month to month. The account stays yours. Every change goes in a log you can open any time, marked person or automated. Every month ends with one page: spend, leads, cost per lead, and the one thing we'd do next.
Three situations. Same log, same report, same price.
"I don't have time to watch it."
You've got a business to run. You want someone reading the search terms report every week and adjusting bids by hand, and you want to be able to check that they did without asking.
"I've been paying for a dashboard."
The report arrived every month. The change history says nothing happened for six weeks. You want the account in your own name and the work in writing. If the account isn't yours yet, start there.
"It's live. Now what?"
We built it, or someone else did. The first three months are where a new account is either tuned or wasted, because that's when the search terms report has the most to say.
Six jobs, each labelled person or automated
This is the whole service. Nothing is described as "optimisation". Each job says how often it happens and whether a person does it. The automated ones are written once, run themselves, and aren't billed as hours.
Search terms report, read
Every week a person reads what people actually typed before they clicked your ad. Irrelevant searches become negative keywords. Good ones you're not bidding on become keywords. Both go in the log with the date and the time it took.
Bids, budgets and pacing
Are we spending the budget? On the right campaign? Is cost per click drifting up? Bids are adjusted by hand, with the reason written down. If nothing needs changing, the log says "checked, no change", because that's true and you should know it.
Ads rewritten and tested
New ads go in alongside the old ones, not instead of them. When one is clearly winning, the loser is paused and the log says which and why. Ads are written by a person who has read your search terms, not generated in bulk.
The one-page report
Spend, clicks, calls, forms, bookings, de-duplicated enquiries, cost per enquiry, what changed, what's next. The numbers are pulled by software. The reading of them, and the one recommendation, is written by a person. What the page looks like.
Rules that watch while nobody's looking
Pause ads if the landing page returns an error. Flag any keyword whose cost per click doubles week on week. Alert us if spend runs past the daily budget. Each rule is written once, listed in the log as automated, and never counted as work done.
Tracking, checked by hand
Once a month we make a real call through your tracking number and submit your form, then check that each shows up once in Google Ads. If tracking has broken, the report says so instead of reporting numbers we know are wrong. How tracking is wired.
Every change, dated. Person or automated, beside it.
This is a month from your side. The log lives in a shared document you can open whenever you like, not in a PDF that arrives when it suits us. The report is the last entry of the month.
- Date, what changed, where, how long, who. Every entry. "Checked, no change" is an entry too.
- Automated rules are listed once, marked automated, and show up again only when they actually do something.
- Person time is added up at the bottom of every month, to the minute.
- The report is one page. Four numbers you care about, what changed, and one next step. No charts you have to squint at.
14 negatives added. One ad group paused. Two new ads under test. Tracking checked by hand on 23 March. 2 h 05 min of person time. Three rules ran daily; one fired, for 39 minutes, during a hosting outage.
"Cylinder repair" searches haven't produced a lead in three months. Move its $20 a day to "Burst pipe", which is running out of budget by 4 pm. Say yes and it's done in April, logged, five minutes.
What happens between reports
Most agencies describe the report. This is the other four weeks. The rules run every day in the background; the person work has a rhythm, and this is it.
Search terms and negatives
The search terms report from the previous month, read line by line. New negatives added. New keywords added if people are asking for something you sell in a way you weren't bidding on.
Bids, budgets, ads
Bids adjusted where cost per click has drifted. Budget moved between campaigns if one is starving. New ads written where an ad group's click-through rate has fallen behind.
Tracking and landing page
A real test call and a real test form, checked in Google Ads and GA4. Landing page loaded on a phone to make sure the number still shows and the form still works.
Report written, next step agreed
One page. Spend, leads, cost per lead, what changed, one recommendation. You reply yes or no. Then it's logged and done, or logged and not done.
A flat fee, an open log, and a door that opens outward.
Retainers usually depend on you not looking too closely. This one depends on you being able to look whenever you like.
Six hundred a month. Not a percentage.
Plus your ad spend, which you pay straight to Google on your own card. No percentage of spend, no minimum term, no setup fee if the account is already in good shape. If you've had an audit, the $595 comes off month one.
Start month one →- Weekly search terms review and negatives, by a person
- Bids, budgets and ad copy adjusted by hand, with reasons
- Automated rules, written once and labelled as such
- Tracking tested by hand every month
- Change log you can open any time
- One-page report every month, with one next step
Accounts spending more than about $5,000 a month need more hours and are quoted in writing first. A new account, or one that needs rebuilding, starts with setup (from $1,200). Tracking setup is included at no charge. Ad spend is always yours, on your card, in your account.
Before you start
What if I want to leave?+
Email us and say so. There's no notice period and no exit fee. We finish the month you've paid for, write the last report, and remove ourselves from the account. Everything we built, every negative list, every ad and the whole change log stays with you, because it was always in your account.
Who owns the account?+
You do. We only manage accounts where your email is the admin and your card is on billing. If your current agency holds admin on the account and you don't, we'll try to get it back before we start, and if that fails, we'll build a fresh one in your name.
Do you charge a percentage of ad spend?+
No. It's $600 a month whether you spend $500 or $5,000. A percentage would mean we earn more by recommending you spend more, and we'd rather be able to tell you to spend less without it costing us anything.
What does "automated" mean here?+
A rule we write once, inside Google Ads or as a script, that runs on a schedule without a person touching it. For example: if the landing page returns an error, pause the ads and email us. Or: if a keyword's cost per click doubles, flag it. Flagging is as far as a rule goes. Deciding what to do about it is a person.
Every rule is listed in your change log, marked automated, and shown again only when it fires. None of it is described as work, and none of it is billed as hours. That's part of why the fee is $600 and not more.
How much of the month is a person?+
The log tells you, to the minute, every month. It varies with the account: a new account has a lot of search terms to read and a settled one has fewer. What's always a person is reading the search terms, changing bids, writing ads, testing tracking and writing the report. What's always software is pulling the numbers and watching for errors overnight.
Do I need the audit first?+
If you've got an existing account, usually yes. It tells both of us what state the account is in before we start changing it, and the $595 comes off month one, so it costs you nothing extra. A brand-new account skips the audit and starts with setup.
Is there a minimum ad spend?+
No minimum. But we'll be honest about the maths: below a few hundred dollars a month in a competitive market, there may not be enough clicks to learn anything from, and a $600 fee on a $300 budget is hard to justify. If that's your situation we'll say so, and probably suggest Google Business Profile and SEO instead.
